The political consequences of former President Donald Trump’s assassination attempt Saturday will be immense and will “reinforce the momentum of the election in Donald’s Trump’s favour”, Former New York Assistant Attorney General Reed Brody told FRANCE 24. "Anybody surviving an assassination attempt becomes a martyr, there’s a grand swell of public sympathy”, he said, adding that Trump is likely to use pictures of the event to further boost his election campaign.
