Internet, mobile phone and TV broadcast services were cut off in Bangladesh Friday after days of violent anti-government protests, which killed at least 28 people, according to local media. Student protests erupted weeks ago over a quota system for veterans of the 1971 liberation war and their descendants, and have spiralled, with students demanding justice for protest victims.
