Ian Khama has 'nothing' to fear in Botswana, says his successor President Mokgweetsi Masisi

In an interview with FRANCE 24, Botswana's President Mokgweetsi Masisi was asked to react to the case of his predecessor, Ian Khama. Botswana is asking for Khama's extradition due to a warrant against him for illegal possession of firearms. Khama refuses to come back, saying he risks being poisoned. "A litany of inconsistencies", said Masisi, adding that Khama, who left office in 2018 after two five-year terms, has “nothing” to fear in Botswana.
