A North Korean trash-carrying balloon hit the South Korean presidential compound in Seoul on Wednesday in what is the first time the fortified no-fly zone has been directly struck by a Pyongyang trash balloon, of which thousands have been launched since May. The balloons are part of a long-standing propaganda conflict between the two countries that has been escalating in recent months.
