War crimes in Libya: UN calls for urgent end to human rights violation

This week, a UN backed fact finding mission in Libya released it's final report on Human rights in the country. After three years of investigations, the findings are dire. The situation is deteriorating, a wide array of war crimes and crimes against humanity have been commited. The perpetrators range from state securiuty forces to the country's coast guard to the Directorate responsible for dealing with migration. The victims include migrants and Libyans. The suspected crimes and abuses range from sexual slavery, slavery, torture, murder. The list is long and makes grim reading. Many survivors who spoke to the commission risked their safety to do so and have little hope of justice. FRANCE 24 is joined by Professor Chaloka Beyani, one of the investigators of the mission.
